Shannon and Derek | The Inn at Palmer Divide | Colorado Wedding Photographer

September 12, 2014

What a gorgeous wedding to photograph.  Soft gorgeous pastel tones…beautiful mountain views at The Inn and a stunning couple.  I have to say that Derek and Shannon made Jen and I feel so part of their beautiful day.  Making sure we were fed (yes, I like to eat…you’d be surprised how shocking that can be for some vendors) .  😉  Offering a sample of Grandpa’s moonshine (okay that was on the side and I didn’t but I was tempted) .  But most of all…they were happy.   You plan so much for your beautiful day and when its finally there its important to just let the little details go and enjoy it.  And that is SO what Shannon and Derek did.   My favorite part of the day was when Derek saw Shannon for the first time walking down the aisle towards him.   Ahhh, you could see how much he loves her.  BEAUTIFUL.  And their baby…seriously cutest ring bearer ever.  He just laid down at Derek’s feet and slept like it was the most exhausting day ever for him.  Too cute.

I need to take a moment and give a little shout out to the florist, Cheryl of Sunflower Creative, GORGEOUS work.  Loved all the different use of texture and soft pastel tones.  One of my favorite details to photograph during a wedding is the floral work.

And I also want to take another second to say that my sister Jen, with kreatid Photography and Design, is the most amazing partner to work with for weddings.  Creative, energetic and simply amazing at what she does.    Love you.

Here are a few of our favorites from that day!
